About ME

I am a theatre scholar and practitioner whose performance work and teaching often focuses on the intersection of theatre and politics. In 2012, I cofounded The Wandering Uterus Project, a performance collective that uses the ridiculous and absurd to explore and examine social norms and injustices against women.

I am currently an Associate Professor of Performance and Communication Arts at St. Lawrence University where I teach beginning and advanced acting courses, as well as courses in Political Theatre and Performance, Drama for Teaching and Learning, Arts Administration & Marketing, and Theatre, Sustainability, and the Natural World. Prior to arriving at St. Lawrence, I taught at Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago, IL) and Lock Haven University (Lock Haven, PA).

I enjoy working with student actors, and I am committed to helping inexperienced theatre artists develop their own artistic process and voice.
